Did you know that you can receive free Naloxone (Narcan) from EPIC Behavioral Healthcare?

EPIC is part of the iSaveFL Overdose Prevention Program. iSaveFL makes free Naloxone kits available across the state of Florida. The program aims to prevent fatal opioid overdoses by providing access to Naloxone and resources for overdose recognition and response. By using the iSaveFL website, you can find a local provider in your area that provides Narcan kits for free. EPIC provides Narcan at all five of our campuses.

Naloxone (Narcan) is an emergency medicine that prevents overdose deaths from prescription painkillers, heroin, and fentanyl. Naloxone is primarily administered through a nasal spray but can also be given using a syringe. It blocks opioid receptor sites, reversing the toxic effects of the opioid overdose. Naloxone is administered when an individual is showing signs of an opioid overdose. Someone who is not experiencing an overdose will not be harmed if they receive a dose of Naloxone.

Any member of the community can visit an EPIC office to request free Narcan for themselves, a family member, or a friend. Additionally, EPIC offers resources on overdose recognition, response, and treatment. Please stop by for additional information, resources, and help.
