April is a great time to visit St. Augustine! Those that live here for the winter are heading home and it’s before the summer beach crowds hit the town (and the humid hotter temperatures haven’t arrived yet either!) St. Augustine is a town with something for everyone: beaches, great food, history, quaint bed & breakfasts, great food, numerous art galleries, fishing, great food, outdoor sports, golf, great food, fun activities/attractions for kids and adults and did we mention great food? That’s why planning your St. Augustine trip to be here during the Taste of St. Augustine is such a great time – you get to sample the signature dishes of some of St. Augustine’s most delicious restaurants! Plus, when you attend the Taste, you also receive a sheet of discount coupons to some of St. Augustine’s most well-known attractions. Great food, discounts to local attractions, discounts at local hotels – come to the Taste and enjoy the best that St. Augustine offers! Keep reading for more Taste details!
The Taste is a major fundraiser for EPIC Behavioral Healthcare and we are so excited that we get to have it this year (after cancelling in 2020)! We (EPIC, the Amphitheatre staff, the restaurants) are all working together to provide you with a safe, fun event and appreciate your consideration of our safety guidelines.
The Taste of St. Augustine will be required to follow the Amphitheatre’s COVID protocols during the event. For the Taste, these primarily include:
Masks required (except when eating – tables will be spread out throughout the venue)
Social distancing (the event has been laid out differently than in year’s past in order to allow for less crowding)
Come enjoy the great food and music! Don’t forget to vote for your favorite vendor to win the People’s Choice Award! And know that the proceeds from the Taste allow EPIC to continue offering mental health and substance use counseling in our community.
Everyone likes to eat! The Taste of St. Augustine highlights the culinary heritage and culture of St. Johns County by showcasing new restaurants and established favorites. Sample our local cuisine and learn about our area’s food culture!
When you first arrive at the Taste, you will be greeted with the sights, sounds and delectable aromas from an eclectic mix of St. Augustine restaurants – from the casual to the upscale. As you pay your $5 admission (children admitted free and free parking), you will receive a map which indicates the participating restaurants, their location at the Taste and the dish(es) they are serving. $1 “Taste” tickets will be sold at the event to sample the restaurants food! This will allow you to make a plan for your culinary exploration!
There will be a FREE children’s area too! The children’s area will include fun activities such as face painting and arts/crafts!
There will be a free shuttle will be running from RB Hunt Elementary School to the Amphitheatre. Parking will also be available at the Elks Lodge (just south of Amphitheatre).
The Amphitheater does not allow dogs inside the venue.
We are committed to providing a safe event for our vendors, volunteers and patrons. We are working closely with the St. Augustine Amphitheater to achieve this. All patrons, volunteers, and vendors are required to wear a face mask. There will be adjustments in order to allow social distancing.
