Introducing Dr. Miriam Dickson – General, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
With a career spanning over two decades, Dr. Miriam Dickson brings a remarkable blend of expertise, compassion, and leadership to her new role as practicing psychiatrist at EPIC Behavioral Healthcare.
Board-certified in both general, child and adolescent psychiatry, Dr. Dickson earned her medical degree from Universidad Tecnológica del Cibao in the Dominican Republic. She completed her residency in Miami and went on to pursue a fellowship at the University of Illinois at Chicago, with additional experience at Wolfson Children’s Hospital and Nemours Children’s Clinic.
Fluent in English and Spanish, she focuses on treating disruptive behaviors, anxiety, and mood disorders, while supporting early childhood development with an integrated, holistic approach.
Beyond her clinical work, she has served as a professor at the University of Florida and Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences, mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals with the same thoughtful care she brings to every patient. Dr. Dickson is poised to help lead, guide, and grow as the newest practicing psychiatrist in EPIC’s continuum of care.
